Malik orders Aerial monitoring on PM’s SC appearance

Interior Minister Rehman Malik Sunday presided over a high level meeting to review law and order and security situation and security arrangements for Monday on the appearance of the Prime Minister in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The Minister for Interior directed IG, Islamabad to enhance security of the federal capital and foot and mobile patrolling should also be carried out. Aerial monitoring of Margallah Hills with extra motor cycles and cars has been ordered, the Interior Ministry said.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, MOI, Chief Commissioner, Inspector General of
Police, ICT, DIG Security, Deputy Commissioner, SSP Security, SSP (Operation) Islamabad and reps of Law Enforcement and Intelligence agencies.
The Minister for Interior has instructed Islamabad Administration to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to general public on the appearance of the Prime Minister in the Supreme Court of Pakistan and wherever there is any diversion of traffic, alternate route of traffic must be given.
The Minister directed IG to follow up the directions of the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan for security inside the Supreme Court and no unauthorized person to enter into the defined limits of the Supreme Court. Only those will be allowed who have their valid passes issued by the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan whereas only the litigants and their attorneys/lawyers should be permitted.
ISI, IB and Special Branch will remain vigilant. NCMC should also monitor the security situation through CCTV cameras.
Public is requested to report any suspicious activity to Police at Rescue number 15 and NCMC at Telephone Number 051-9211224. DIG Security, ICT will be responsible for the security and Additional Secretary-II, Ministry of Interior will be responsible to ensure that the instructions of the Minister are complied with accordingly.
