Inspired by a strong desire for change in Pakistan, the British Council in collaboration with Chanan Development Association has pledged support to the agents of change, especially the youth of Pakistan, for a proactive role in peace building and conflict resolution.
In this regard Chanan Development Association in support with British Council organised an interactive dialogue with a youth delegation from England at its office. The topic of the discussion was ‘Conflict Issues’ and youth. The dialogue was meant to sketch the contemporary issues prevailing in the country and how youth around the globe perceive it. Panellists included CDA Executive Director Muhammad Shahzad Khan and Raziq Fahim from College of Youth Activism. They emphasised on youth’s positive impact in the developed countries where they represent and stand for Pakistan on any forum. It was discuss that the youth was aware of all the conflicts which have surfaced over the past decade. “Promotion of dialogue for peace-building through media and youth mobilisation in Pakistan” seeks to promote a participatory environment that can stimulate information flow while nurturing the youth’s involvement and strengthening state and civilian relationships said Muhammad Shahzad Khan Executive Director CDA.
