An Additional District and Session Judge (AD&SJ) on Friday summoned the Racecourse Police Station on SHO February 15 on an application seeking directions for registration of a forgery case against former Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khosa for showing a fake birth certificate of his missing ex-wife, Sapna Khan, to the police. AD&SJ Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad passed the order on an application filed by Missal Khan, father of Sapna Khan.
The petitioner submitted that Dost Khosa showed a fake birth certificate of Sapna Khan to police to establish that complainant Missal Khan was not the real father of his missing ex-wife. It was pleaded in the petition that Sapna`s passport, computerised identity card and property documents were enough to prove that Missal was her father. It said many applications were submitted to police to lodge a case against Khosa for filing fake documents but to no avail. As the proceedings started on Friday, Khosa’s counsel submitted that the matter was pending before the Lahore High Court. However, the petitioner’s counsel pointed out the matter was not pending before LHC, therefore, directions be issued for the registration of a forgery case against Khosa. The court after hearing the arguments summoned the SHO and directed both parties to discuss the matter on the next date of hearing.
