Weather to remain cold

The weather conditions in Punjab remained cold and dry on Thursday, with mild wind blowing across the region. According to the Meteorological Office, the temperature shifted back and forth between 2-0 Degrees Celsius throughout the day. The met office has forecasted the temperature to remain within the same brackets as it is expected to become windier in the coming days. A fresh western disturbance is expected to affect western Balochistan from February 11, which will result in a temperate drop in the province. Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However the met office has stated that snowfall is expected in isolated areas of Malakand divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Rain showers with snowfall are expected to hit Quetta, Zhob and the Hazara Division on Saturday night. The lowest temperatures recorded were: -14 in Parachinar, -12 in Kalam, -9 in Astore, -8 in Kalat, -5 in Zhob and -7 in Hunza, Quetta and Mallamjabba.
