Karate camp concludes

The two months karate coaching camp organised by the Pakistan Karate Federation concluded here at the Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Lahore. The camp was organised as a part of talent hunt scheme of the PKF in which coaching camps are being organised in different schools and colleges of the country in order to spot talent from grass root level. Muhammad Jahangir (Black Belt 5 Dan) supervised the camp and Fayyaz Feroze was the coach of the camp. More than 150 boys participated in the coaching camp in which the players were taught the basic techniques of karate, kihon, kata and kumite.
Karate competition was also conducted at the end of the training camp in which following players secured the positions:
Seniors: M. Shouzab Riaz (Jinnah House), M. Hamza Sajjad (Iqbal House), Jahanzaib Asdaq (Alamgir House).
Juniors: Hamza Ahmed (Jinnah House), Muaaz Tanveer (Qasim House) and Harris Rehman (Tariq House).
Javed Arif, Head Master Crescent Model Higher Secondary School Lahore, awarded the certificates to the players. He also appreciated the efforts of the PKF for promoting the game of karate.
