A 65-year-old woman, Khurshida Bibi, was recovered dead from the debris of collapsed building of a pharmaceutical factory as the death toll rose to 24 on Thursday. The families of the dead, and otherwise, also began a frantic search for officials to get death certificates in order to get the compensation money from the government. Rescue work continued on fourth consecutive day to recover the trapped victims. It is being suspected that two more persons are still trapped under the debris. A spokesman of Rescue 1122 said 85 percent of the rescue work had been completed and it would be finalised within a few hours. Earlier, five families claimed that their family members were trapped under the rubble. Saddar Division SP Shoaib Khurram Janbaz told Pakistan Today that the owners of the collapsed factory had named themselves in the investigations and had got bails from the court, adding that they had claimed that the LDA had never sealed their building.
