Beyonce and Jay-Z may have a future fashionista on their hands. The new parents filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office to protect the name of their month-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
They filed the application on Jan. 26 for products — and there’s speculation they plan to use it for a line of baby-related products, carriages, baby cosmetics and diaper bags. It’s a good thing the couple were quick to trademark the name. Other people have tried to cash in on the newborn, filing applications for variations on the name. But they’ve been denied.
The trademark office said it’s reserved for a “very famous infant,” the Post reports.
