Punjab Sports Festival in full swing

The Punjab Sports Festival at tehsil level is in full swing in all over the province and competitions are underway in all the nine divisions of Punjab. In Faisalabad, 58 union councils participated in badminton, 160 in cricket, 96 in cricket hardball, 27 in volleyball, 48 in kabaddi and 80 in hockey. Similarly in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Chistian, Fortabbas, Minchinabad and Haroonabad the sports competitions in hockey, football and cricket were held. In Gujranwala, 20 union councils participated in hockey, 13 in athletics, 77 in cricket, 14 in kabaddi and 15 in volleyball.
In Lahore, Model Town, UC 97 beat UC 96 by 2 runs. In volleyball, Government Boys Model High School Model Town outplayed Government FD Boys Higher Secondary School. In cricket, UC 63 beat UC 140 by 55 runs, UC 138 defeated UC 142 by 1 run. IN Cantt/Shalamar, volleyball matches were held in which UC 65 beat UC 51 by 3-1. The score was 25-15, 25-20, 19-25 and 25-21. In football, UC 51 beat UC 54 by 1-0. Zuber hit the golden goal to win the match. In cricket hardball, UC 2 beat UC 10 by 3 runs.
