Keeping to its phenomenal tradition, Roots Metropolitan G8 campus organised a performance through arts event themed; “Harnessing Global Diversity”- an exhilarating and spellbinding performance through arts and display of mesmerizing diverse cultures across the globe by Rootsians at Pak-China Friendship Center. Students were highly charged to rub against the ceiling whilst performances took an ever entertaining shape. The occasion was elevated with the distinguished presence of who’s who of the city including Mr Faisal Sakhi Butt, Chairman PM task force on Islamabad, Chairman CDA, Engr Mr Farkhand Iqbal and guests of Honor Senator Syed Zafar Ali Shah, HE Istvan Darvasi, Hungarian Ambassador, HE Jesus Zenen Buergo, Cuban Ambassador, HE Jesus Yabes, Philippines Ambassador, HE Rodolfo J Martin-Saravia, Argentinean Ambassador, HE Mourad Bourehla, Tunisian Ambassador, Mr Yang Linhai, Chinese Cultural Counselor, HE Sammar Ahmed Al-Zaidjali, Oman Deputy Head of Mission, Mr Ali Makin, Syrian Second Secretary, Taimur Azmat Osman, Secretary Information and Broadcasting, Lt Gen (r) Shahid Iqbal, Secretary Defense, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr Nadeem-ul-Haq.
This event was held to mark the friendship year celebrations between Pakistan and China. The event was one of its kinds to accelerate talent of students in a most fashionable fun-filled and competitive environment. The Rootsians were electrified to present their mind blowing performances to their audience. The event turned out to be a fascinating and encapsulating marathon of entertainment. As Roots leaves no stone unturned to bring perfection in all its events. Hence, it ended with parents being proud as they applauded at the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected student council. Mr Walid Mushtaq, ED RSS, inducted the College Head-boy Aftab Alam, Head-Girl Dania Khan, vice Head-boy Hashim Fiaz, Vice Head-Girl Zainab Umer into Student Council after administrating their oaths followed by other student council members.
