PML-N MNA Murtaza Javed Abbasi staged walkout of the House on Wednesday against non provision of development funds and partial attitude of the speaker.
The PML-N member, while speaking on point of order strongly criticised the government for not providing development funds to parliamentarians allocated in the federal budget.
“It is sheer breach of privilege of the lawmakers as well as the House as development funds announced in the federal budget have not been released to legislators tantamount to severe public resentment against them” he added saying that development schemes submitted by MNAs were lying incomplete.
He demanded the House take notice of the issue and speaker issue direction to the quarters concerned for immediate release of funds.
Responding to Abbasi, Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi observed that development funds to a number of parliamentarians had also been provided.
This observation made Abbasi furious and he uttered remarks about the Chair with allegations of partiality, however, his insertions were expunged from the proceedings. Having said this he staged walkout of the House.
