Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday directed concerned authorities to ensure foolproof security measures in the federal capital, especially in the Diplomatic Enclave.
A high-level meeting headed by Interior Minister Rehman Malik was held in Interior Ministry for reviewing the law and order situation and security arrangements for foreigners and NGOs in the country.
Additional interior secretary, chief commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad, DIG security, deputy commissioner Islamabad, foreign office deputy secretary and SSP Islamabad attended the meeting.
During the meeting Rehman Malik also directed the concerned authorities to conduct a survey about foreigners living in the country, especially in Balochistan, sought a detailed report about NGOs.
The minister also ordered further increase and strict security in the capital and asked the police to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of the suspected persons.
