Three police officers of the Aabpara Police Station were dismissed from service on Monday for harassing a married couple and demanding their ‘Nikkah Nama’ at a picket. SP City Zone Captain (r) Ilayas, dismissed Head Constable Asif Hussain and constables Akhtar Hameed and Muhammad Hanif from service after finding them guilty of harassing a married couple and demanding their Nikkah Nama. The police officers were accused of harassing a married couple at Chand-Tara police picket near Shakarparian and demanding their Nikkah Nama on Friday. Upon receiving information, the SP had reached the scene and suspended the officer after hearing the aggrieved couple and ordered an inquiry. On Monday he dismissed them from service.
