Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Muslim League-N is the largest political party of the country and its workers are a precious asset to the party and the leadership highly values selfless and loyal workers.
He said that PML-N had represented the nation on all important issues and problems in the parliament and would send such persons in the senate as would enhance the dignity of this institution.
He was addressing party leaders and workers during separate meetings in Punjab House, Islamabad, on Tuesday.
PML-N chairman Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly, Ch Nisar Ali Khan, Senator Ishaq Dar, Muhammad Asif, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Rana Sanaullah, Pir Sabir Shah, Khwaja Saad Rafique, Raja Muhammad Ishfaq Sarwar, Anusha Rehman, Pervaiz Malik and other prominent party leaders were also present on the occasion.
He said that such persons would be sent to forthcoming elections in the senate as are infused with the spirit of public service and could play an active role in the senate.
PML-N is representing aspirations of the masses and has confidence of the people of all provinces.
He said the committees formed by Nawaz Sharif would decide the matter regarding tickets for the senate and the decisions would be taken with mutual consultation.
He said the manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League-N is service to the people and development of the country. He said if given opportunity in the next elections, PML-N would take measures for the revival and stability of economy.
