At the beginning of the convocation, vice chancellor UAG Isani highlighted the performance of his university.
Pir Mazharul Haq in his speech said it was an honour for him to be at the convocation.
“I am pleased to know that Higher Education Commission has awarded the top category of W4 to the Iqra University for maintaining higher education and infrastructure. The chartered inspection and evaluation committee has also awarded it the first position; this is the best private university in Sindh,” he said.
“The credit goes to the management and faculty members of the Iqra University for this remarkable achievement in such a small time. It is again a pleasure to know that Iqra University is not only producing PhD students, but also secured the status of the number one research university in Pakistan in the field of social sciences,” he added.
He said universities must be involved in the nation-building activity. “The Iqra University has not increased fees for the last six years and also improved the level of education. The progress of the university has been remarkable in the last few years and it has established more campuses,” he added.
At the end of the convocation, the university’s chancellor Hunaid Hussain Lakhani thanked the chief guest, parents and the media and wished the students luck for a bright future.
