‘Love for Prophet biggest asset for Muslims’

The 28th International Milad-un-Nabi Conference (SAW), the biggest one in the Islamic world, continued till Fajr prayer on the intervening nights of 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal at Minar-e-Pakistan under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Hundreds of thousands of people including women and children braved the severe cold and rainy weather and remained in attendance. The conference made history as the devotees demonstrated their love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and reminded the world that it is the most precious asset for the Muslims. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri appeared on the huge screen to deliver his keynote address to the conference at 1:30 am. The people gave him a standing ovation on this occasion.
The chief guest of International Milad-un-Nabi Conference (SAW) was Vice Chancellor of world-renowned Al-Azhar University Dr Usama Muhammad Al-Abd. Amir-e-Tehreek Sahibzada Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, Secretary General Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, senior Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Agha Murtaza Poya, Pir Khalil-ur-Rehman Chishti, Ali Ghazanfer Kararvi, Pir Nafees-ul-Hassan Shah and renowned religious scholars were present on the stage.
The representatives of Hindu, Christian and Sikh faiths also participated in the conference as an expression of solidarity with the Muslims on such a festive occasion.
Addressing the participants, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said the historic Minar-e-Pakistan must be remembered where devotees of the Holy Prophet held their ground despite severe cold and torrential rain. He said it was miracle of the Holy Prophet that such a large number of people celebrated his birth anniversary under the open sky. “Let the world know that love for the Holy Prophet is our greatest asset and we are ready to offer any sacrifice for this”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of Al-Azhar University Dr Usama Muhammad Al-Abd said he never saw such a big and organised gathering anywhere in the world which was full of love for the Holy Prophet. He extended his special felicitations to the people of Pakistan and the participants of the conference on their attendance despite severe cold and torrential rains. He further said the people of Pakistan must be grateful for the personality like Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for holding such a Milad each year. He said the MQI had become a big reference point for the promotion of love for the Holy Prophet in the world.
