After being suspended as legislators on Monday, Dr Hafeez Sheikh and Dr Asim Hussain were made advisors to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The decision was made hours after the Supreme Court suspended membership of federal ministers for finance and petroleum respectively.
The Supreme Court on Monday suspended the membership of 28 legislators including that of nine MNAs and three Senators on grounds of their election under an incomplete Election Commission.
These lawmakers would continue to remain suspended until the passage of the 20th amendment.
