Pakistan’s tennis ace Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi’s book ‘Lessons learnt from the tennis tour’ has drawn immense response from the general public as the book was placed at the 26th International Book Fair that commenced on Friday at the Expo Centre. Aisam’s book, which documents experiences of the star player in the Davis Cup, will be officially launched later this month.
But it was on display in the exhibition that will run till February 7. The book, written with his coach Robert Davis, shares the experiences Aisam learnt from a successful career. The book is beautifully designed and is printed in coffee table format. Regarded as one of Pakistan’s best-known international sportsmen, Aisam has been a superb ambassador of the sport and country, presenting a clean-cut image of Pakistan through his persona.
This is a must-read for aspiring and even established sporting personalities who would care to know why learning from your defeats and triumphs, and keeping it in perspective and all the while staying fiercely mindful of one’s image is so hugely important.
