Chief selector Mohammad Ilyas has hinted at a few changes in the team in the upcoming ODI and T20 series.
Talking to Pakistan Today, the former Test cricketer said that there will be just one team for both the versions of the game and it will most likely be announced on February 6.
“We had a detailed discussion on the composition of the team with the captain, manager and the coach and the final line-up will be announced after consultations with the other members of the selection committee,” he added.
He further said that although the final approval will be given by PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf, yet the feedback of the team management and the whole of the selection committee was necessary.
Talking about the third test, he said that the strong wind in the morning session turned things against Pakistan.
“I believe the match is still open and the Pakistan team has the potential to bounce back. It’s still an open match. It’s just the first day and there are still four days to go so you can’t say anything with authority. The only thing I can say is that Pakistan will surprise everyone with their talent.”
