Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has written a letter to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, demanding equal sharing of energy shortage across the country. In the letter, the Punjab chief minister said there was a complete closure of gas industry in Punjab since December 25, 2011 in addition to electricity load shedding of six to 18 hours. He complained that the issue of LNG import and the establishment of LNG Terminal had been allowed to linger for the past four years. Shahbaz demanded complete ban on establishment or relocation of CNG stations. He said Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline should be taken up on war-footing.

  1. Mr Shabaz
It is difficult to understand you. You are always confrontational. You have ultimate power over every thing in Panjab. You should be in the Guiness book of records for holding on to so many ministries. In a democracy the ministers are expected to serve the people and are answerable to them. In a dictatorship they serve their master . I am not sure what is the situation in Panjab.
I remember the former President dictator once mentioned that you were a better administer than youe elder brother/ a view voiced by many others. How can you function like this.Let go and appoint somebody capable to run ministry of Health. In every country the M.O.H is a poisoned chaliss in the best of hands.Your glass is full.

  2. Every province has first right on its natural resources. We, the people of Punjab, should be grateful to the other three provinces for supplying us natural gas which they themselves direly need. Shahbaz Sharif has done absolutely nothing to develop energy resources in Punjab since he came to power. Now, he is begging from other provinces.
