Two toddler sisters drowned in the Sohrab Goth storm drain on Thursday.
Shagufta, 3, and Nasreen, 2, had gone missing for hours from Shaheen Colony, Federal B Area, Block 22. Their father Atta Muhammad said both sisters had left the house to play, but they did not return for hours. He said his wife told him that the girls were missing, following which we started searching for them.
“A scavenger told us about a body in the Sohrab Goth storm drain near Khamiso Goth,” he added. He said they rushed to the spot and recovered Nasreen’s body. Meanwhile, Edhi rescuers also arrived on the scene and fished out Shagufta’s body after two hours.
