Sanaullah, Riaz exchange barbs over spurious drugs fiasco

The government and opposition lawmakers in Punjab Assembly exchanged barbs on Friday over the deaths of dozens of cardiac patients due to spurious drugs.
Talking to media persons outside the Punjab Assembly, opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz asked Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to step down as the chief minister due to the deaths caused by spurious drugs, adding that Khadim-e-Ala has become Qatil-e-Ala.
Moreover, the opposition leader demanded the chief minister to tell the name of VIP of Islamabad who hatched conspiracy against Punjab government.
Raja Riaz said if Shahbaz Sharif is not involved in the scandal then cases should be registered against those involved.
Speaking to media persons after the Punjab Assembly session, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said opposition has nothing substantial to offer. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has no time to listen to junk talk.
Rana Sanaullah said his party would welcome any positive proposal by the opposition parties. But he said the chief minister has no time to hear the rubbish talk.
Earlier, the Punjab Assembly session started with rumpus. The ruling party and opposition benches started shouting at each other.
Raja Riaz said during the session that opposition will not allow the proceedings of the assembly till the chief minister did not tell the name of VIP who hatched conspiracy against the government after which the speaker suspended the proceedings for 10 minutes and held talks with the opposition leader and assured that the chief will attend the meeting on Monday.
The session started again but till last reports rumpus continued.
