A member of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s Sindh Council, Shireen Khan, announced on Wednesday that he has joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Speaking at a press conference at the press club, he said that he is the general secretary of the Karachi Shehri Alliance and contested the elections for PS-93 on a PPP ticket. He said he will continue to remain the general secretary of the Punjabi Pakhtun Ittehad. He said he was inspired by PTI’s programme. “The PPP is no longer that of Shaheed Zulfikar Bhutto, but a Zardari group now,” he said. “On the demand of the people of my constituency, I have decided to leave the PPP and join the PTI,” he added. PTI Sindh President Naeemul Haq was also present on the occasion.
