The Punjab Environment Protection Department (EPD) began a public awareness drive to prevent the dengue epidemic and held a seminar on “Prevention and Control of Dengue Fever” at the Alhamara Art Complex on Tuesday. The seminar featured lectures of medical experts and environmentalists regarding the symptoms and safety measures for dengue virus. Doctors, Health Department officers, environment officers, rescue officers, NGOs and civil society members exchanged their views in the seminar. Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) Department of Paediatrics head Dr Muhammad Ali Khan and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Khawaja Imran Nazir were the chief guests.
