The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will transform the federal capital into a model education city to provide quality education, especially to under-privileged students. These views were expressed by CDA Chairman Farkhand Iqbal during his visit to the Pak-Turk School System at Chakshahzad on Monday. Iqbal said the CDA was working on a proposal with stakeholders for making Islamabad an education city and that planning was underway for establishing CDA Model Schools in all of the city’s new sectors.
Later, while visiting the Pak-China Friendship Centre, the chairman said the centre will be made self-sufficient by holding cultural events to promote the traditional heritage and a soft image of both the countries. He added that the Pak-China Friendship Centre was the hallmark of Pak-China friendship and it needed to be made functional for cultural activities.
