Amateur artists awarded for miniature training

Some 40 amateur artists got certificates and awards for their best performance on completion of10-day workshop of miniature art of sub-continent here Monday at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). The participants were the students from various educational institutions of twin cities while popular miniature artist Farrah Mahmood Adnan imparted the training entitled “Traditional Miniature Paintings of the Sub-continent”.
The workshop brought excellent opportunity for the students to learn basics of this unique art by experts in the field as various sessions of the training introduced them with the most popular art of Mughal era that combines landscape, architecture, human imagery, vibrant colors and glimpses of cultural heritage in the themes, said Tauqir Nasir, Director General PNCA while talking to APP. The course was designed with the aim of engaging students in healthy activities and promoting exquisite skills of creating art and crafts among the young generation by experts in the field.
