  1. If this government has to take 2-3 years to decide if it should or should not write a letter than it should not be in but out of governance.

Just one correction Mr Chaudhry, most constitutions give serving presidents immunity for criminal acts alleged during the term of their office but not for those done before they came into office.

    • Forget about "most constitutions". We live in Pakistan and are governed by our Constitution. Here is what article 248 says:

(2)No criminal proceedings whatsoever shall be instituted or continued
against the President or a Governor in any court during his term of office.

Which part of it do you not understand?

  2. Let's see if the SC is able to provide what Aitzaz Ahsan is asking for.

The issue has been 'Constitutional Authority' from the very beginning. Now the ball is in SC's court and it has to take a very clear responsibility and create 'precedent'.

Hat's off to Aitzaz Ahsan. He is dragging the SC out in the political fore-front (the same thing that happened in Gore v. Bush case – the SC lost public respect). A very smart move…
