In order to promote patriotism among youth through photography and short films, a video-making and photography competition ‘Pakiography 2012 – An Illustration of Pakistan’ was held at Aiwan-e-Quaid on Saturday. The event was organised by Shanoor Society in collaboration with Capital Development Authority (CDA). Senior artists and government functionaries including Dr Ijaz Malik, Vice-Chancellor Air University Brig Iqbal Shafi, Chairman Sir Syed Memorial Dr Ijaz Shafi Gillani, Gallop Chairman Jamal Shah, CDA Member Engineering Sanaullah Aman and others participated in the event. The competition showcased the works of young creative photographers and video makers. A special performance was presented by singers and young artists
Addressing the gathering, Shanoor Society President Syed Ali Hameed said, “Pakiography is not just an event, but an initiative towards better future.” He said it was a unique combination of sacred souls gathered to serve the nation. “We have proved it today that we believe in fun for the sake of the betterment of the society, nation, and humanity as a whole.”
