Felicitations, accolades, praises for Boom Boom Pakistan

Note of congratulations and praise started pouring in the very time the team trampled England in the Arabian desert and it kept coming from different quarters.
People from all walks of life celebrated the momentous victory in their own style and in the Lahore city the atmosphere was electric with sounds of gun shots amid sights of sweets being distributed by the cricket fans and enthusiasts.
The first note of congratulation came from President Asif Ali Zardari and was followed by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani. Zaka Ashraf, PCB chairman, Qasim Zia, PHF President and Mobilink, the main sponsor of the series were prominent among the felicitators. The President and the Prime Minister felicitated the national cricket team over their convincing 72 runs victory in the second test match against England in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
The President and the Prime Minister in their separate messages lauded the outstanding performance of the national team in the second test against England, which gave Pakistan a decisive 2-0 win in the three-test series. The President and the Prime Minister hoped that Pakistan cricket team will continue to perform well to bring more laurels for the country and nation.
PCB chairman while congratulating the team said that the win would pave a way for the revival of cricket in Pakistan.
“It was a great the team work and great captaincy from Misbahul Haq that made the entire nation proud,” he added. Mobilink extends congratulations to the Pakistan team on its win in the Jazz Cup 2012 in the UAE. Jazz partnered with the PCB to organize ‘The Mobilink Jazz Cup 2012’ in the UAE as the home series for Pakistan. The two tests held so far have provided an impressive exhibition of teamwork, commendable leadership by Misbah, and sterling performances by both batsmen and bowlers alike, with the spinners Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman being the most notable. Moied Javeed, Mobilink’s Director Marketing (Jazz), added: “Pakistan’s national cricket team has made the entire country proud with their passion and commitment to their sport. President PHF Qasim Zia and Secretary Asif Bajwa also congratulated the cricket team for its excellent performance in the Emirates. In a statement the PHF President chief showered praise on showing of the team in Test and attributed the success to collective team efforts.
He also congratulated the Chairman PCB Chaudhary Zaka Asrhaf on the recent achievements of the team and hoped that under his dynamic leadership the game of cricket will continue to flourish. Qasim Zia wished Pakistan cricket team good luck in its coming One day and T20 series against England and expressed the hope that it will demonstrate a higher level of performance to maintain the flow of its recent victories.
Meanwhile, Pakistan former captain and flamboyant Shahid Afridi has congratulated his team for grabbing splendid victory against world’s number one side England in test series Abu Dahbi.
When TV anchor called the star all-rounder Boom Boom Afridi, the former captain who led the team from front in World Cup contest, said he would like to call team Pakistan Boom Boom Pakistan. Afridi gave credit to Pakistani spinners who shattered England batting line in last two matches and brining historical victory for their team, which had been deprived of playing cricket inside the country on security grounds. Afridi resolved that Pakistan team will continue its journey of victories in upcoming games. He said the team needs consistency.
