The Islahi Jamat and Aalmi Tanzeem-ul-Arifeen (IJATA) of the Shrine of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (RA) organised the annual Melad-e-Mustafa (PBUH) Conference at the Convention Centre on Saturday.
Presiding over the conference, IJATA Secretary General Sultan Muhammad Ali said that the people seemed to have forgotten the importance of this world and the accountability for our actions. “We are oblivious to the returns given in this world and our hearts are losing fear of the final judgement and hellfire,” he said.
He said that the differences between the fundamentals of Islam and the adoption of anti-religious ideologies were the greatest threat to the stability of the society. “Nations develop on the foundations of ideologies and the spiritual stability of individuals is necessary for a stable society.
A society consisting of spiritually defunct individuals can never gain strength and stability and that is the dilemma of our society as well,” he added.
The IJATA came into action to fill the spiritual and intellectual vacuum, he said, adding that the Melad-e-Mustafa (PBUH) demanded a commitment to action and an implementation of religion in its true form and spirit. Addressing the conference, Mufti Matiullah Qadri said that the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should be adopted and a love for humanity should be developed in the light of the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).
