Literary personalities from various literary circles in district Kasur conducted a meeting on the other day at the Orient Education System main Khara Road to constitute a platform in the city where the production and promotion of healthy literature could be made possible.
The meeting was chaired by Government Islamia College (GIC) Professor Syed Musaddaq Hussain Shah while former GIC vice principal Professor Maqsood Hassani and journalist and poet Fraaz Mahmud also participated in the meeting.
The participants highlighted the need of a literary society which could provide young writers with literary approach and help them flourish their skills.
They unanimously named the podium as Kasur Literary Society (KLS) and nominated the office bearers for year 2012.
Those who were nominated: Ghulam Farid Zaigham as President, Syed Kashif Hussain as General Secretary, Sanwal Manzoor as Secretary for Information and Broadcasting and Faheem Tasaddaq as Secretary for Finance.
