Three British-Pakistani sisters appealed on Thursday to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the government to direct the Punjab Inspector General of Police to conduct an enquiry into the 2007 killing of their brother in Rawalpindi.
Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club, Laila Gillani and her sisters alleged that their brother, Dr Shaid Naeem Khan, was killed in 2007 by his wife and her accomplices to confiscate his property and wealth.
They said following the incident, their sister-in-law, Sumara and her accomplices had been arrested, but the police took bribes from them and set them free.
The victim’s sisters appealed to the Punjab chief minister and the Punjab inspector general police to take action against the Rawalpindi police for not arresting the killers of their brother.
