The residents of Kana Pul, Sanam Chowk and Bharma Town have been facing problems due to the poor sanitation system, while the concerned authorities seem least interested to clean the locality.
Expressing their concerns about the garbage removal system of the locality, the residents said that the trucks meant for removing the garbage come only once in a week, therefore the garbage bins lying in front of their houses remain full. They claimed that as the road side drains were clogged with garbage, the water flows on the roads, creating inconvenience for the residents as well as for the pedestrians and motorists. “The sweepers used to clean the roads once a week but now they have crossed the limits.
However, no one is here to listen to us and clean the surroundings due to which the residents are facing several problems,” said Kausar Ali, a resident of the locality. The residents alleged that the concerned authorities did not bother about ensuring proper maintenance of streets that were in a dilapidated condition.
