Nine rockets fired at military academy in Abbottabad

The wall of Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul was partially damaged when rockets fired by unknown miscreants hit it in the wee hours of Friday.
According to Abbottabad District Coordination Officer (DCO) Imtiaz Hussain Shah, at least nine rockets were fired by unidentified miscreants’ from mountain behind the renowned Ilyasi Mosque at 3.30 am early Friday morning.
He said that three rockets landed near Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul but only one hit the boundary wall, partially damaging it.
The DCO also said that six rockets fell at open places near residential areas but fortunately no casualty or injury was reported. However, window panes of two residential houses were smashed in the attack.
The security forces cordoned off the area after the attack and launched search operation in Bilal Colony, Nawaan Shehr.
The DCO said that police and security teams rushed to scan about six kilometers of mountain area behind the Ilyasi Masjid.
