The European Union gifted eight bomb disposal vans to Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and handed them over to Punjab Civil Defence and KPK police in a ceremony held at the Police Training School, Chunge, on Friday.
PTS, Chunge Commandant Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mubashar Ullah and KPK Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Shafaqat Malik thanked EU Ambassador to Pakistan Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, the chief guest at the ceremony, for gifting the bomb disposal vans to the Punjab government and the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Police.
The EU ambassador said that the EU experts had trained the Pakistani Police officials about the safe transportation, defusing and blasting of bombs when required.
