The allotees of E-12 Sector on Thursday lodged a protest demonstration over the failure of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to complete development work in their sector.
The residents stated that the sector had come into being 22 years ago along with the project of D-12, but the CDA had not yet completed the task of construction of houses, parks, recreational spots, playgrounds, roads and other facilities.
This negligence and indifference on the part of the authorities concerned had rendered more than 4,000 inhabitants homeless and helpless, they said, adding the widows, children and the senior citizens of the sector had been deprived of their fundamental right of living in their own houses.
“The CDA is treating us like second-rate citizens as it is paying no heed to the issue despite our repeated requests and complaints,” they said. The protesters added that the focus of the CDA officials had been on the development of D-12 Sector for it was meant for the upper class of the society whereas the E/12 Sector was meant for the low, lower middle and middle class of the society. The allotees appealed to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take interest in resolving the issue of halted Sector E-12 and remove all hurdles to the completion of development.

  1. I am an old retired government servant of 68 years.I was alloted a plot of 40×80 in Nov,1994 by Federal Government Employees Housing Federation. This testifies that CDA a giant organisation with unlimited resources and power has not yet delivered to the expectations of the old allottees many of them have passed away.Presently most of the allottees have reached the old age and are just at the whim of CDA .Can i expect that the the incumbent chaiman is so competent and dynamic unlike the previous one to take effective measures to develop the stalled E-12 sector? So far every one at the helm of affairs has raised lofty slogans and the allottees remained under delusion for a long period.
This is a test case for you ,dear chairman, as the allottees are on the climax of mental torture because of extra ordinary delay in development of sector E-12. Besides, the CDA is losing its credibility among the public.
I pray for a good news from your side and you will not act like the previous incumbents.

  2. the same story is for every allottee in E-12, This is just a ridiculus tht after more than 2 decades this issue is still pending, we should get togather and give a dharna in front of CDA office until the issue is resolved. therwise there is no hope. now its time to come out and protest….

  3. i think cda authorities have collaborated with the land grabbers and other land developrs who donot want this area to develop.they donot pay any heed to the suffering of people they are only concerned with filling their own pockets,i think all the effectees should join hands and take the cda to task. These culprits should be answerable to public

  4. Government should take keen interest to resolve this issue. I think this is not good for the alloties of this sector. The alloties are living in the rented houses and pay heavy rent for shelter. They are mostly low income people and still waiting for the development of this sector.

On the other hand media should focus this issue. If any one have relation with media I mean tv or newspaper plz request them to focus this issue. i think media palys a vital role in this regard.

  5. this is a extreme sitution after two decades no allotment, unbelieveabel. In my opinion we should go to court and take this issue.one more thing i would say there should be law which should catch all the culpirts sitting in CDA and not only CDA but anyother housing society who promise some period for completion and then failed , should black listed, heavy fined and penalized. We should all get united and we should take our right by force from these devils, occupying CDA buildings with no ethical and moral values.

  6. i am hearing that Malik Riaz of Bahria town is planning to buy the whole E-12 sector and develop it like a small country of Singapore.
I heard this from a property dealer who is well connected and knows inside info.

  7. I have been a victim of E-12 like others. I think not CDA nor Government is serious to resolve this issue. These all are thieves and rubbers who are looting country by both hands, they have their own interests and not caring about people of Pakistan. We should make a Association and strongly protest in front of CDA office. Nobody will listen or care in Pakistan until people come on the road and protest. While sitting homes writing/requesting to CDA or Government will not solve this problem. What is our fault? We have paid huge prices for plots, but CDA has done nothing more than 02 decades to hand over plots to the owner for construction.

  8. I think with so much of judicial activism let us file some writ or a petition in Islamabad High Court for our rights. Any agreements?

  9. Sector E12, Islamabad……..as like all previous governments of Pakistan this is also a corrupt government. They are just making money and filling their banks accounts, they will never resolve any matter of public interest. Pay a huge bribe to big belly people, may be they will start taking interest in these matters. Judiciery is also taki
ng famous cases having fame in in the Media. No hope from all these departments.
