“‘London, Paris, New York’ is my first outing as a music composer and lyricist for a Bollywood film. I hope people like my acting and music,” says Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar, who is open to more projects as a composer and lyricist. But there is a condition “Right now, I only want to sing for my own films where I play the lead. At a later stage, I may consider composing and singing for films where I’m not on screen. ” The 31-year-old, after ‘London Paris New York’, will next be seen and heard in David Dhawan’s remake of the 1981-movie, ‘Chashme Buddoor’, where he’s likely to croon three or four songs. A couple of months ago, it was rumoured that actor Katrina Kaif, Ali’s co-star from ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, will be singing alongside him for his forthcoming album. “I wont start recording for my album for at least two years,” he says, adding, “As for Katrina’s involvement on my album, I don’t know where that news came from. We jammed together during our last film. We love music and discussed a possibility of recording together but there is nothing planned.” But he admits he would love to work with Katrina and LPNY co-star Aditi Rao Hydari for his album, whenever it happens “They are really dear to me. They’re musically inclined and talented girls. If they are willing to be part of my album a few years later, it will be my pleasure to have them on board.”
