Plea against Mansoor Ijaz dismissed

Justice Anwar Khan Kasi of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday dismissed the plea against the provision of security to Mansoor Ijaz on his arrival in Pakistan and also to restrain Ijaz from going abroad after his arrival in Pakistan, observing that the petition was not maintainable and similar case was pending before the Supreme Court (SC).
The judge was hearing the petition filed by a local, in which he asked to the court that whether the government was bound to provide security to a person who had provoked the public and hatched conspiracy against the country? And whether a person who damaged the sovereignty of the country should be allow leaving Pakistan? He prayed before the court to direct the government authorities for initiating proceeding against Ijaz and also to direct the Attorney General to inform the apex court about his petition.
