Pakistan Today reporter’s house attacked

Four unidentified motorcyclists fired at Pakistan Today Bureau Chief Atif Masood Butt’s house at 4:30am on Wednesday. According to reports, four men, at around 4:30am, fired at Atif’s house and fled. Several shots hit the internal premises and a few bullets, after breaking the main windows, hit the internal walls of the drawing room. Talking to Pakistan Today, Old Age Benefit Office guard said that four people on two 70 cc motorcycles came at around 4:30am and fired at Atif’s house and fled.
Gujranwala Union of Journalists (GUJ) President Raja Habib said that the association condemned attacks on journalists, who were constantly working under threats. He said that authorities should take notice of attacks on journalists. Civil Lines Police Station SHO Waseem Dar said that a case was filed against four unidentified people and investigation had started.
