Oxford University Press will launch its publication, “Partition and Locality: Violence, Migration, and Development in Gujranwala and Sialkot, 1947–1961” written by Ilyas Chattha.
The book provides original and challenging insight into the violence, demographic transformation and physical reconstruction in Gujranwala and Sialkot following the partition of the subcontinent in 1947.
Dr Yaqoob Khan Bangash, Professor Imran Ali, Professor Iqbal Chawla, Dr Ilyas Chattha and Tariq Haq will be the speakers at the launch being held today (January 27), at the Oxford Bookshop, Mini Market, Lahore, at 4.30pm.
