Amar Cables beat Textile Tigers by 22 runs in the 14th National Senior Cricket Cup here at the Ali Garh Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Amar Cables batting first got 203 for 9 after 30 overs. Dastgeer Butt 52, Ameer Akbar 51, Muhammad Arif 33, Aziz-ur-Rehman 28 and Amer Ilyas Butt 19 runs. Rehan Rouf 3 for 53, Asif Qureshi 2 for 14, Romail Bashir 1 for 28 & Azhar Ali 1 for 29 wickets. In reply, Textile Tigers 181 all out. Muhammad Riaz 33, Romail Bashir 39, Rizwan Nisar 27, Khalid Habib 27 & Maqsood Ahmad 24 runs. Rouf Wain 3 for 22, Tariq Rasheed 3 for 27, Dastgeer Butt 1 for 30 & Shafqat Butt 1 for 24 wickets. Rasheed Bhatti, Muhammad Kaleem Umpire, Zahoor Alam was the scorer. Later chief guest Test Cricketer Ashraf Ali gave the man of the match award to Rouf Wain. Amer Ilyas Butt and Rizwan Nisar were also present on the ocasion.
