We want early elections: Fazl

Jammiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman has said that his party was desirous for midterm but free and fair general elections.
Talking to media persons at Karachi Airport Wednesday, Maulana Fazl ur Rehman said that despite tall claims and assurances of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) there was no chance of completion of new computerized voter lists in May.
To a question, the JUI-F chief said that it would be decided after restoration of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) who would be its president, adding that Ameer Jamaat-e-Islam (JI) Syed Munawar Hassan should lower his demands of becoming MMA president in case of its restoration.
Fazl said that it would have been in favour of country if Memogate scandal’s important figure Mansoor Ijaz had visited Pakistan to appear before the commission but he was not awaited by JUI-F.
He claimed that JUI-F public gathering at Karachi on Friday would be historic.
