Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has approved the allocation of more than Rs 690 million for the staff involved in the preparation of computerized electoral rolls.
According to reliable sources, the Election Commission has hired the services of one lakh sixty thousand people for the preparation of voters’ lists. The commission will pay Rs 4 lakh each to one lakh verification officers, while Rs 5,000 each would be given to fifty thousand supervisors.
The commission has hired the services of employees of education, post office and banks and other departments for house to house checking. The responsibility of computerized voters lists is with the staff of NADRA.
