A master stroke

Once again, America played a master stroke by holding back Mansoor Ijaz to tarnish the credibility of Pakistan Army, and judiciary to some extent. We can say this because Mansoor Ijaz met with American officials before coming to Pakistan. The US officials are not staying anything about this said meeting. It seems that by deploying Mansoor Ijaz they have been able to achieve their targets. In the coming few days we will see the opening of NATO routes, more drone attacks and the list goes on. The cold attitude of our COAS says it all.

Analysts are saying that that for the sake of our national interests, this case would be considered closed. I have a question to ask to my Army Chief: when the curtain raiser was about to fall what made him think about national interests? They could have thought about saving national interests when they submitted their verdict on memo. Why at this juncture when the stage was all set to reveal everything?

I believe there is more to it than meets the eye. There is nothing much to say except that our last hope was the army and judiciary but now it seems that we have lost them as well. The government of the day seems to be in the driving seat.
