The Aabpara police arrested five women on Tuesday who were allegedly accused of stealing gold jewellery from female passengers traveling on public transport vehicles. According to a police spokesman, gold ornaments, including bangles were also recovered from their possession. The nabbed women were identified as Kiran, Rabia, Samia, Ruqiya and Nasreen. The women confessed that they carried out robberies in the Tarnol police precincts. Moreover, the Ramnah Police recovered 1.2 kg hashish while searching a car (IDA-8906). Farooq and Sheerazi were arrested for possessing hashish and a 30-bore pistol. Separately, Tarnol police Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir apprehended three drug pushers, Khadim Hussian, Nur Badhsah and Waisal Ahmed during routine patrolling and recovered 8.5 kg hashish and a 30-bore pistol from them. Industrial area police Sub-Inspector Ahmed Kamal nabbed Abdul Hameed and Ali for possessing of 700 grams hashish.
