A 40-year-old man committed suicide after taking poisonous pills over some domestic issues in Shahdra area on Monday. The deceased was identified as Abdul Razzaq, son of Siddique Ahmad, and was a resident of Shahdra. Police removed his body to city morgue for autopsy. Police quoting the family members said Razzaq was very upset over some business loss.
FIRE: Valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire erupted in three different areas of the city due to short circuit and leakage of gas on Monday. Per details, in the first incident, fire broke out in a house of one Ibrahim of Mustafabad due to leakage of gas. Within seconds, the fire engulfed the house. Some locals informed the Rescue 1122 who reached the spot and controlled the fire after hectic efforts. In another incident, fire erupted in a house of one Khawaja Tassadiq of Shad Bagh due to short circuit. Fire gutted articles and other house things worth thousands of rupees. Fire also broke out in a house of one Liaqat Ali of Kamaha Road due to short circuit and gutted thousands of rupees.
ANTI-VEHICLE LIFTING STAFF ARRESTS THREE ROBBERS: Anti-Vehicles Lifting Staff Sadar Division has arrested three persons accused of stealing vehicles and recovered 19 vehicles from their possession on Monday. The accused were identified as Malik Mohammad Riaz, Malik Mohammad Bilal and Mohmmad Ayaz.
COUPLE INVOLVED IN IMMORAL ACTIVITY ARRESTED: Kot Lakhpat police on Monday arrested a couple involved in immortal activities. Police said it raided a location near Babar Chowk and arrested the couple identified as Nadeem Saqlain and Rukhsana Bibi.
GOVT CENTRAL MODEL SCHOOL DEPUTY HEADMASTER UNDER THREAT: Deputy Headmaster of Govt Central Model School Samanabad has written an application at the Samanabad Police Station seeking help as he had received serious life threats from unidentified persons. According to the police, Deputy Headmaster named Saleem Akhtar Khan has filed an application in which he described that he had received serious life threats from some unidentified persons through a letter. He asked the police to take some action in this regard.
