British-Pakistani boxing star Amir Khan has announced that he will get engaged with the American-Pakistani student Faryal Makhdoom on 29th January.
According to The Sun newspaper, the second generation Pakistanis will be swapping the rings in front of 1,000 people at a lavish £150,000 engagement party at Bolton Wanderers’ Reebok Stadium where rich footballers such as Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Ricky Hatton, David Haye are just some of the people on the guest list.
Faryal Makhdoom has revealed that their relationship was almost on the ropes when they first met, as she could not understand a word he said. Makhdoom admitted that she struggled with his broad Bolton accent.
In the beginning I really couldn’t understand him,” the Sun quoted her as saying.
“I was used to London accents and thought that’s how everyone spoke in Britain.
“But when Amir opened his mouth it was completely different. It was like he was speaking in a foreign tongue – so I just used to nod, agree with whatever he was talking about and say, ‘Yeah’.”
She broke down the language barrier when she visited Amir’s family at their home in Bolton and spent five days meeting his nieces, nephews and cousins.
“Everything is fine with us now – my ear is tuned in.”
“I enjoyed my time in Bolton but it was so different to New York, especially the streets — they looked so little,” she added.

So there are 100 thousands of people who are seeking help for shelter and dying for hunger in pakistan and other countries as well. So £125000 is smll amount for you but if you donate to flood victims in pakistan ALLAH will give you the swaab. Think about it
I just met Amir Khan personally a few weeks back and he was on his way back to Manchester -Bolton and he was coming back from Pakistan were he held Numerous events and activities to help the flood victims, he's hands down one of the most down to earth people and generous and a Great Muslim too, displayed nothing but decency and good manners during the entire flight, please before you ask him to do something make sure he's not already doing it, although knowing him and his true Muslim manners he's not advertising his actions
