‘You can do it’

“If one can do it, anybody can do it” was the lesson students at Lahore School of Economics (LSE) were taught by an Australian business executive Justice Naveed Jamil at a workshop titled “Preparing yourself for the real world”.
The workshop organised under the aegis of Lahore School Social Awareness Society was said to help students learn how to take care of themselves, along with teaching them to cope with the nuts and bolts of daily life as a grown-up. The society is known for holding successful workshops one of which was held in last December on Anger Management.
Naveed Jamil, a nominated justice of peace in Australia, conducted the workshop solely but at the end there was no suspicion in attendees about his skills to teach great lessons in few hours only.
Naveed Jamil with a calm demeanour began the presentation through his own life story which struck the audience at a very personal level. Jamil then went on to explain how everything around us is made of energy, and the two types of energy that exists within every human being: a kind of a raw emotional streak called ‘darkness’, and a state of relief and calm, known as ‘light” and how both can be channelised into productive outlets to attract positive things in life and to achieve peace, contentment and enlightenment.
Jamil by collecting stories, tips, and advice also tackled the areas money, health and spirituality, and those basic survival skills needed to prosper in the real world.
Throughout the event it was one and only mantra Naveed chanted that if he could do it others were no less able to achieve success. As the workshop ended, there was an interactive question and answer session, in which the students flocked around him for personal advice for almost an hour.
