The Sports Festival 2012 is scheduled to start from today (Monday) here at various venues of Punjab. Matches of general public for athletics, badminton, cricket (tapeball), football, hockey, volleyball and kabaddi will be held at 3464 UCs. As many as 13,807 athletics teams, 6,179 badminton, 10,172 cricket (tapeball), 4,980 football, 2,274 hockey, 4,930 volleyball and 3,931 kabaddi teams have been registered from various districts for the biggest event of the province.
