Citizens to get relief as power outages are expected to decrease after Hydel generation resumption during next couple of days.
Well-informed sources revealed that indent has been released for Hydel generation which would improve the power situation in the country and load shedding duration would be reduced.
It is pertinent to mention here that after desalination which started during December 2011 power generation in the country was reduced and gap between demand and supply further widened.
After reduction in hydel power generation thermal generation were also come down to 8000 MW because PSO reduced oil supply to power companies, sources added. The whole situation disturbed the usual business of domestic and industrial consumers and industrial sector suffered a lot. Suspension of gas to the industries was in addition to it.
Sources said that funds have been released by the federal government to power companies to pay to PSO and situation would be improved soon.
