Former Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Monday reiterated his previous stance that the president of the state has complete immunity from the criminal cases.
Talking to media, he said President Asif Ali Zardari enjoys complete immunity in the criminal cases until he retires from the presidency.
“I respect Justice (rtd.) Khalilur Rehman Ramday; but, he should not have given interview,” he said replying to a question.
Reacting to a question regarding Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani standpoint before seven-member Supreme Court bench hearing the NRO Implementation case, Aitezaz said no question of contempt of court arises by not writing a letter.

  1. As per Transparency International, Judiciary is the second most corrupt institution in Pakistan. Tells a lot about people like Ramday.

      • outside the point…

in fact IC is also making suggestive comments in public appearances on pending cases at hand. This is a complete no-no business for any judiciary in the civilized world.

Agree or not, it is very important that judicial authorities maintain a higher standard than politicians or any other power. Rightly so, because they are trusted to judge others.

  2. So for the future there would be more opinions analyzed by the students and hopefully these will either proved to be much better for them to initiate with better instances which are even said to be important.
